The Blogariddim podcast has rapidly become one of my must-listen podcasts. A group project involving some pretty well-known music blogs like Gutterbreaks and Bassnation, and crews like Heatwave, Blogariddims serves up a dizzying mix of roots reggae, dancehall, grime, post-punk, 20th century classical, ambient, jungle and the list goes on. Some of the shows are tightly-themed, while others strike out in a bunch of different directions, almost always hitting the mark. My favorite episode so far might be #10 (they’re up to 36!), Heatwave’s “An England Story” UK MC mix upon which Soul Jazz based their recent comp (about which more soon), but I haven’t listened to one yet that didn’t bring a smile.
